Hope you are well, wherever you are ? I am missing traveling, how about you? Even traveling (freely) to grocery stores, you know. Missing it big time ? News said, in 2 days, shopping and public places now require mask, for our province. That will be interesting to see as many don’t even follow arrows of directions at stores ? What about at your place?
Today’s recipe is fried rice or Asian fried rice, as it is not just Indonesian way but also using Japanese ingredient ? I know, I know, I am weird in mixing this and that. Always food fusion. Nevertheless, happy household I had at the dining table, that’s all that mattered to me ?
- Cooked rice for 6 portions
- 20 chicken meatballs
- 3 beef sausages/wieners
- 1 – 1 1/2 c egg whites
- 2-3 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic
- 1/2 c thinly sliced baby carrots
- 3 tbsp mushroom granules
- 1/2 tbsp each garlic powder, onion powder, Vegeta powder
- 1 tbsp sushi rice seasoning
- Generous pinched of white ground pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp chives
- 5 heaping tbsp peaches and cream corn kernels
- 1/3 c sweet peas

Nasi Goreng
Indonesian style fried rice
Ingredients
- Cooked rice for 6 portions
- 20 chicken meatballs
- 3 beef sausages/wieners
- 1 – 1 1/2 c egg whites
- 2-3 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic
- 1/2 c thinly sliced baby carrots
- 3 tbsp mushroom granules
- 1/2 tbsp each garlic powder onion powder, Vegeta powder
- 1 tbsp sushi rice seasoning
- Generous pinched of white ground pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp chives
- 5 heaping tbsp peaches and cream corn kernels
- 1/3 c sweet peas
Instructions
- Slice wieners/sausage
- Slice meatballs
- Slice carrots thinly
- Slice garlic thinly
- Melt butter, saute garlic, pour in egg white, scrambled
- Stir in carrots, cook til soften
- Add in wieners and meatballs, stir
- Stir in rice, season nicely
- Stir in chives and sushi topping
- Stir in sweet corn kernels, followed with sesame oil, and lastly stir in sweet peas
- Cook for another 5-8 mins, serve immediately
