I have a love hate relationship with Chinese yard bean or long bean, which we call as Kacang Panjang in Indonesia, only in Canada though. They are so expensive and rare, unless you have a Chinatown or Asian stores nearby. It was so easy to get them when we lived in Quebec, however when we moved to BC, we always had to travel to Alberta to get some. Occasionally you could find it at Walmart, but often rotten, then for awhile they didn’t carry them.
So, my love and hate relationship started when I could find them, them would get a lot of them, obviously went bankrupt just for them hahaha, theeen….sometimes I am slow in slicing them to freeze, and they would be wasted :-/ So yeah, I love them, but also hate them, here in Canada hahaha
Anyhoo!
