My husband suggested to serve the beef with freshly squeezed of lime juice and turned out very good. But without lime juice, the beef is goood already.

1 can of baked beans in tomato sauce (I used Heinz)
slices of lime (optional)
3 slices of steaks, cut each steaks into 3-4 small slices
black peppercorn
1/3 cup of water
4 potatoes, cut as desired, or sliced not too thick, half boiled, drain
1/2 of 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/4-1/2 tbsp of ground white pepper
a dash of Hungarian Vegeta seasoning
- Wash the steaks slices, crush roughly the black peppercorn and rub all over the steaks slices.
- In a baking dish, place the thinly sliced onion on the bottom, follow by the steaks, then half boiled potato.
- Pour the Hungarian Vegeta seasoning that already dissolved in 1/3 cup of water all over the steaks. Leave it for 5-10 minutes.
- Pour the whole can of baked beans and ground white pepper. Stir well.
- Bake in 375 F for 1 hour or until beef cooked through
For variations:
Substitute the baked beans in tomato sauce with baked beans in chili sauce and the ground white pepper can be lessen or not used at all.
