Hi Guys!
Another wet morning here. I went to my greenhouse earlier and my gosh, lots of yellow flowers here and there. Yep, my zucchini, my pumpkin, are in the moooooooddd 😁 Too bad I didn’t see any female flowers, so I didn’t get to officiate none 😅
I was browsing ideas since I woke up, what to plant next year for better yields and whatnot, as I had never had a small greenhouse before. The previous two greenhouses we had were always huge, so I never had no problem to divide the areas. This one is only 8×10 and this year is mostly filled with flower pots 😁
Yesterday I fried doughnuts for my boys. I normally would just do drop doughnuts as am lazy. When am not lazy, then the original round doughnuts. Yesterday I had too much time on my hands, I twisted the doughnut 😁

1.5 c plus 2 tbsp flour (about 200 g)
1/2 c milk (about 100 ml)
35-38 g unsalted butter
2 tbsp sugar
A pinch of salt
3 tsp quick rise yeast
1 egg
2 tbsp flour
4 tbsp sugar berry (castor/superfine) sugar
Generous pinches of cinnamon powder
Heat milk for 20 seconds in microwave, then stir in yeast, set to side
In a small bowl, melt butter in microwave, for 15 seconds
On a separate bowl, beat eggs
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, then pour in melted butter, milk, and beaten egg, using wooden spoon
Cover bowl and let rise for 1 h
On a clean surface, spread flour, then dump dough, knead
Divide dough into 8 portions and roll each into a rope and then twist, pinching the end together
Let rise for 30 mins
Fry until golden brown, turning once
Meanwhile, mix sugar and cinnamon powder
Take out doughnut from the fryer, and coat it with cinnamon sugar
Enjoy!
