Hi Hi Hive!
Here I am typing, next to my kitties. They are very cuddly and love to lick big time, especially Charlie, the slim kitten, a big licker that one is ? Makes me giggle sometimes ? My youngest would always shriek whenever Charlie licks him. He is ticklish that boy of mine ?
Anyhoo. What have you guys been doing? … beside browsing and posting on Hive ?
I have a fish recipe today. My youngest loves fried fish as is, while my oldest loves with some gravy on his rice. I always have to prepare various foods as each of us have differ liking ? So when I prepared this following dish, I reserved some of the fried fish for my youngest ?

- 8-10 baby potatoes (or mini potatoes)
 - A handful of baby carrots
 - 5 green onions
 - A box of white mushrooms
 - 1 c of sliced cabbage
 
- Salt, garlic powder, to taste
 - Enough water
 - Generous pinch of turmeric powder
 - 2 bags of Basha fish pieces
 - Vegetable oil, for frying
 
- 3 garlic
 - 3 shallots
 - 2 tbsp butter
 - 1 1/2 c chicken broth
 - 1/2 – 1 tsp minced ginger
 - 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
 - 1 tbsp Vegeta powder
 - A generous pinch of ground white pepper (optional)
 - 1 tbsp mushroom granules

Semur Ikan
Ingredients

 - 2 bags of Basha fish pieces
 - Vegetable oil for frying
 - 3 garlic
 - 3 shallots
 - 2 tbsp butter
 - 1 1/2 c chicken broth
 - 1/2 – 1 tsp minced ginger
 - 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
 - 1 tbsp Vegeta powder
 - A generous pinch of ground white pepper optional
 - 1 tbsp mushroom granules
 
Instructions
- Slice mini potatoes and baby carrots, soak in water
 - Skin mushrooms and cut stems, rinse and drain
 - Slice green onions, set aside
 - Slice cabbage, set aside
 - In a bowl, mix salt, turmeric powder, garlic powder and water, marinade fish for 5 mins
 - Heat oil, medium heat, fry fish, drain, set aside
 - Heat butter, saute sliced garlic and shallots til fragrant
 - Add in veggies, minced ginger, broth, cook til veggies soften
 - Season with sweet soy sauce, mushroom granuls, and Vegeta powder plus white pepper
 - Add in fish
 - Serve with warm rice
