Mix all ingredients for filling in a bowl, set aside (it will produce juice)
Stir in sugar in milk, heat to lukewarm, then stir in yeast, let stand to bloom for 5 mins
In a bowl, bloom flax meal in water, set aside
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Pour in yeast mixture and flax meal mixture, stir with wooden spoon
Knead in margarine
Divide dough into 2 equal portions. Roll one as bottom crust.
Strain grated apples from its juice, and spread evenly on crust. Roll the other portion and top crust, poke holes all over
With the apple juice, brush all over crust, then bake the pie on preheated 350 F for 30 mins. Take out pie, brush with more apple juice and bake for another 5-8 mins
