Strawberry Syrup

Ingredients

  • 870 g fresh strawberries
  • 2 c sugar
  • 3 c water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Wash clean strawberries and remove stems, then place strawberries into a pot. With potato masher, make strawberry puree.
  • Add in sugar, juice, and water, bring to boil for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  • Lower heat to medium, skim bubbles, and let boil for another 10 minutes.
  • Prepare a strainer and a clean bowl. Take off syrup from heat, let cool to room temperature.
  • Strain syrup, but do not discard strawberry chunks, set aside.
  • Pour strained syrup into clean bottle.
  • And your syrup is ready to be used
