Sop Buntut

oxtail soup

Ingredients

  • 700 g oxtail
  • 1 celery
  • Baby potatoes
  • Baby carrots
  • 6 cherry tomatoes
  • Enough water
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 nutmeg
  • 1 onion
  • 5 green onions
  • 1 thumb ginger
  • 4 garlic
  • Bouillon powder mushrooms powder, chicken, beef, whichever. If not salt, sugar, MSG

Instructions

  • Boil oxtails in enough water. Rinse and place into instantpot
  • Add in celery, half a bag of potatoes, half a bag of carrots, and tomatoes. Pour enough water to cover everything, or as much broth you’d like to have.
  • Add in spices, ginger, green onion, halved onion, and diced garlic. You can either crush, grated or leave the nutmeg whole.
  • Season with bouillon powder
  • Choose soup option on the InstantPot
