Goulash

Gulyasleves

Ingredients

  • 6 lbs beef cubed
  • 5 garlic sliced
  • 1/4 of a large white onion diced
  • 2-3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 heaping tbsp caraway seeds
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 2-3 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp cayenne powder
  • 6-8 large potatoes cubed
  • 1/2 bag baby carrots
  • 2 parsnips sliced
  • 2 bell peppers
  • Bunches of fresh parsley
  • 2 cubes of beef bouillon
  • Vegeta powder to taste
  • Celery salt a little, just to taste
  • Enough water enough to cover the beef

Instructions

  • Heat oil, saute garlic and onion
  • Stir in caraway and bay leaves
  • Add in beef, browned
  • Pour in water, let boil
  • Mix paprika and cayenne in a cup, add in enough water to mix
  • Pour paprika mixture into pot, let boil again
  • Add in veggies
  • Season with celery salt, bouillon and Vegeta powder
  • Cook until potatoes and beef tender
  • Serve
