Sate Ayam (Chicken Satay)

Ingredients

  • 5 onions or as needed
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp ground corriander
  • kethcup
  • 3-4 chicken breast fillets skinned, bonned, trimmed the fats
  • BBQ sauce
  • soya sauce
  • sweet soya sauce
  • hot sauce

Instructions

  • Make cutlets out of the chicken breast fillets
  • Mix all the rest of the ingredients (the measurements here are as desired. If you prefer it hot, add more hot sauce. Prefer it sweeter, add more sweet soy sauce). Marinate the chicken cutlets for a couple of hours of per night in the fridge
  • Cut onions into 4 parts each. Place each cutlets of chicken and onions on the skewer
  • Grill until cooked
  • Serve with salad if you like, although the Indonesians would have them with warm rice instead :D
