Sesame Snaps

Ingredients

  • 1 c unsalted butter
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 mandarin/clementine grate the peel
  • 2 c enriched flour

Coating

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 1/3 c sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Grease and flour your cookie sheets
  • Cream butter, sugar, grated rind, until pale
  • Add in flour a little at a time
  • Beat egg white, add in sesame seeds and honey
  • Scoop dough, shape into a ball, drop the ball onto sesame seed (only the top should be covered with sesame)
  • Place on sheet
  • Bake on preheated 400 F for 10-15 mins, let stand 5 mins, then move them onto cooling rack
