Oseng-Oseng Pare

stir fry bitter gourds with shrimps and tempeh

Ingredients

  • 2 large bittergourds
  • 1 bag large shrimps 300 g
  • 1 bag tempeh
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 c diced onion
  • 6 bird eye chilies
  • 1 handful fried garlic ready to use
  • Soy sauce to taste
  • Liquid smoke to taste
  • Stargazer hot sauce to taste
  • Vegeta powder to taste
  • 1/4 c water
  • Chives 1 tbsp
  • A generous pinch of onion and garlic powder

Instructions

  • Thinly slice bitter gourds, paper thin slices, quickly rinsed
  • Cube tempeh
  • Quickly rinse shrimps
  • Saute onion and chilies in butter
  • Add in bitter gourds and shrimps
  • Cook until shrimps changing color
  • Stir in fried garlic
  • Season with liquid smoke, soy sauce, hot sauce, Vegeta powder
  • Pour in water, chives and onion plus garlic powder
  • Serve immediately with warm rice
