Black Sesame Doughnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 180 ml lukewarm milk
  • 1 heaping tbsp of ground black sesame seeds
  • 250 g AP flour
  • 25 g sugar and a pinch of salt
  • 25 g vegan margarine

Instructions

  • Sprinkle 1 tsp active dry yeast onto 180 ml lukewarm milk
  • Over digital scale, place 1 heaping tbsp of ground black sesame seeds. Add AP flour, and measure until scale shows 250 grams
  • 25 g sugar and a pinch of salt
  • 25 g vegan margarine
  • Mix dry ingredients, make a well in center, pour in yeast mixture, stir with wooden spoon
  • Add in margarine, knead
  • Cover with cling wrap and let stand in warm area until doubled in size
  • Heat enough cooking oil
  • Divide dough into 5 portions and shape into doughnuts, fry 3 mins on each side (until golden brown)
  • Top with your faved. Topping and serve
