Barbecued Seitan (Vegan Ribs)

Ingredients

  • 1 c vital wheat gluten flour
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • A pinch of freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3/4 c veggie broth
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter creamy
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 c BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
  • Blender wet ingredients til combined (you can use mixer or wire balloon whisk)
  • Mix in dry ingredients and knead
  • Pat into square and slice with knife as shown on picture
  • Bake for 25 mins on preheated 350 F
  • Brush with extra BBQ sauce and grill for 5 mins on each side
