Freezer Apple Pie Filling


  • 35 apples medium-large
  • 1/2 c lemon juice
  • 4-5 c sugar my apples are a bit tart, lessen sugar if you are using sweet apples
  • 1 heaping c cornstarch
  • 1 heaping tsp allspice powder or to your liking
  • 1 heaping tsp cinnamon powder or to your liking
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder or to your liking
  • A generous pinch coarse Kosher salt
  • 7-8 c water


  • Pour 1/4 c lemon juice into a pot
  • Peel apple and drop them into the pot
  • Core apples and slice them, put them back into the pot
  • Pour another 1/4 c lemon juice, toss the sliced apples
  • Place the rest of the ingredients into a separate pot, mix to combine
  • Pour in water, stir, bring to boil 2 minutes
  • Add in apple slices
  • Cook til soften and thicken, on low-medium heat
  • Cool to room temperature, fill up ziplock bags
  • Freeze until ready to use
