Pecan Pie

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • A generous pinch coarse Kosher salt
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp liquid water/milk

Filling

  • 3 lightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 c corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c pecan halves

Instructions

  • Mix crust ingredients, press onto pie plate, side up
  • Mix filling ingredients in order given, pour onto crust
  • Bake on preheated 350 F, lowest rack, for at least 60 minutes, more or less depending your oven
  • Knife inserted closer to center from edges, comes out clean, and center almost set
  • Cool on rack
