Red Velvet Truffle Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 4 tsp liquid red food coloring
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 c butter/margarine
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c flour
  • a pinch of salt

Truffle Layer

  • 1/8 c heavy cream 35 %
  • 1/2 c chocolate chips

Topping

  • 6-8 Oreos some quartered, some crushed

Instructions

  • Mix cocoa powder, red food color, vanilla essence in a bowl
  • Using electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until fluffy then beat in an egg one at a time on high speed
  • Beat in cocoa mixture until combined well on medium speed then mix in flour and salt on low speed until just combined
  • Bake on preheated 350 F for 40 minutes
  • Cool to room temperature

Truffle Layer

  • Heat cream in microwave for 35-45 seconds then stir in chips until melted
  • Pour ganache on cooled brownies, spread evenly
  • Sprinkle with crushed and chopped Oreos
  • Slice and enjoy :)
