Sourdough Chocolate Crinkles

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 3/4 c cake and pastry flour
  • 1/4 c cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp BP
  • Freshly cracked Himalayan salt maybe that is why it needed more salt kick, so about a pinch of regular white salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/4 c melted margarine
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 tbsp fancy molasses dark is fine as well
  • 1/4 c margarine
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence I forgot to mention on the vid! - I want to up to 1/2-1 tsp next time though

Additions

  • 1/2 c cake and pastry flour
  • 3/4 c sourdough starter

Coating

  • Icing sugar

Instructions

  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl
  • Mix both, then add additions
  • Bake on preheated 350 F convection oven 8-12 mins
  • Roll on icing sugar
