Indonesian cookies


  • 1 yolk from a large egg
  • 150 gram salted margarine
  • 150 gram icing sugar
  • 250 gram all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • Apricot jam as needed


  • Mix yolk, margarine, icing sugar using a medium speed of a mixer until the mixture is soft and well blended. Turn off the mixer.
  • Add in water, flour, corn starch and vanilla sugar. Mix well using wooden spoon or washed hand
  • Spoon batter and make balls, flattened the balls, place 1/2 teaspoon
  • of apricot jam in the middle and form the whole ball as before.
  • Brush top of each balls with white egg.
  • Bake in 350 F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown, but do not over bake it.
