Yellow Split Peas Stew

Ingredients

  • Yellow split peas 2 c
  • Water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 8 black pepper corns
  • 2 garlic slice
  • Vegeta powder

Instructions

  • Soak enough peas overnight, drain, rinse, and put into a pot
  • Pour enough water to cover
  • Add in bay leaves, black pepper and garlic
  • Bring to boil, skim off the foam
  • Lower heat and cook until super tender, adding more water as needed
  • Drop in chicken or beef Knorr cube if not salt or Royco, adjust flavor
  • Serve with wiener, luncheon meat, sunny side up or whatever you wish or even as is!
