Cut shortening into flour until crumbly texture, add in the rest of the ingredients, knead.
Divide dough into 2 portions, roll flat each, brush with beaten egg, and slice with knife (if you have cookie cutter as shown on the picture, by all mean, use it as it is easier, but it gives shorter sticks).
Sprinkle with any toppings of your choice, I used white sesame seeds this time.
Bake at preheated 200 C (395 F) for 20-25 minutes (until golden).
