Hungarian Bell Pepper Stew
sweet or hot depending your liking; as much as you wish
matoes peel skin
quartered; the amount is depending on how many paprikas you have
salt to taste
water as needed
oil as needed
Remove seeds from paprikas, slice not too thin but also not too thick.
Heat oil, saute onion until translucent, add in sliced paprika; if your
paprika are fresh and crunchy, most likely you will need not water, but
otherwise, add a littler water so bottom won't burn; stir occasionally
and cook until paprikas are a little tender.
Add in salt, stir, followed with peeled, quartered tomatoes. Cook for 12-15 minutes further.
Serve with bread.
You can add cubed bacon or scrambled eggs into the lecso while still cooking, if you wish.
