Mie Goreng

Indonesian fried noodle

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Asian style egg noodle
  • 1/4 c cubed chicken breast or more, I had tiny left over from making satay
  • 1/2 carton chicken broth about 450 ml
  • 1 small onion
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 green paprika
  • 1 yellow paprika
  • Bunch green onion
  • 1/2 tbsp each sesame oil maggi liquid seasoning, soy sauce
  • 1-2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp corn oil

Instructions

  • Heat oil, saute sliced onion and minced garlic
  • Add in chicken cubed, stir until change in color
  • Add in sesame oil, maggi and soy sauce, stir
  • Add in cubed washed paprika, stir
  • Drop in hoisin sauce, no need to stir at this point
  • Add in noodle
  • Pour in broth
  • Cover pan and cook unstirring and covered for 10 mins (broth will be gone by then, if not cook a bit longer)
  • Open lid, stir noodle and ready to serve, sprinkled with chopped cilantro
