Hungarian Green Bean Stew

Ingredients

  • 500 g green beans
  • 1/2 of large onion
  • 5 garlic
  • 2.5 L water
  • 1 box mushroom
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 1 tbsp celery salt
  • Roux

Roux

  • 1/3 c flour
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Cold water as needed

Instructions

  • Skin and slice mushrooms. Saute to soften
  • Place everything in a pot, bring to boil, stir in softened mushrooms
  • Add in bouillon cube and celery salt
  • Thicken with roux
  • Place everything on nonstick, stir
  • Once clumpy, stir in water, and keep stirring til become paste
  • Pour paste into pot, and quickly stir, to thicken
