Krumpli Fozelek

Hungarian potato stew

Ingredients

  • 12 medium size potatoes
  • 1/4 of large onion
  • 5 garlic
  • Enough water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 8 peppercorns

Roux

  • 1/3 c flour
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • Enough milk

Instructions

  • Peel and cube potatoes
  • Place all ingredients into a pot
  • Bring to boil til soften
  • Season
  • Make roux if you are not lazy, otherwise just mix roux ingredients in a cup, then pour into pot to thicken the stew
  • Serve immediately
