Ingredients

Filling

  • Half of a small cabbage
  • Half of a small onion
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Vegeta powder and ground white pepper to taste

Dough

  • 1 1/2 c skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp active dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c flour
  • 1/2 tbsp Vegeta powder
  • Vegetable oil

Instructions

Filling

  • Super thinly slice cabbage and onion
  • Melt butter, saute onion
  • Stir in cabbage, stir fry til super soften
  • Season with Vegeta and white pepper
  • Set aside to cool

Dough

  • Mix sugar and lukewarm milk, sprinkle yeast, let bloom
  • Mix flour and Vegeta powder, pour in yeast and egg, knead
  • Let stand to double in size
  • Roll flat, slice into portions
  • Place filling in center, seam to seal, shaping into boats or round - if round, flatten them a bit
  • Let rest a bit, 15-20 mins
  • Preheat oil, deep fry buns/pies
