Melt butter for 25-30 secs in microwave, set aside
Chop pecans, roughly, set aside
Mix flour and baking soda, set aside
In a bowl beat eggs, sugar, vanilla using balloon whisk
Beat in melted butter, followed with chocolate syrup
Stir in flour a little at a time, mix to just combine
Mix in half of the pecans
Spread batter into parchment lined square pan (18 or 20 inch)
Sprinkle with the rest of the pecans
Bake for 30-40 mins on preheated 350 F
