Vegan BLT Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 block tempeh 300g, thinly sliced (long or as pictured, is up to you)
  • 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 4 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Black pepper and salt to taste
  • Burger buns read ingredients, some use eggs and dairy, toast
  • Ketchup
  • Sliced onion
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes

Instructions

  • Place marinated tempeh on parchment lined sheet
  • Preheat oven 425 F and bake for 20 minutes (flipping side half way)

Notes

If you are marinating tempeh over night, use the later measurement (esp 3 tbsp soy sauce instead 2), if only half hour or so, use 2 tbsp each soy sauce, olive etc
